Late Friday night i called 911 for help & instead ended up jailed on an old warrant for missing a court date. I was imprisoned for 4 days, traumatized, and lost all of my belongings.
While everyone involved are okay, it was a shitty reminder that police do not help and are the worst people to call during a mental health crisis, especially if you are black. I could use a ton of help as I didnt even get to put on socks and the police even ransacked my jacket before giving it to me so everythimg that was inside my pockets was lost as well.
This may be TMI but I started my period which has been complete hell between not having any underwear let alone extra clothes as well as not having any menstruation products. I also was not wearing a full set of clothing or allowed to change/grab anything so I had no socks or underwear or gloves. All of that stuff was trashed and left behind by police when they came to “protect” me 👮🏼
I could use a LOT of help, especially with the continuous snow storms.
